Do
you offer programs that would be of interest to corporations?
Yes. As an example my 2-hour Fun-da-mental Training Sessions or
the 3-hour Half Day Short Game or Full Swing Schools are a great
way for corporations to reward employees or thank clients. Descriptions
of all the Schools are available on this website. If any of the
existing programs isn't just right, I will be happy to create one
that fits a corporation's specific needs. I have had extensive corporate
experience through the Jane Blalock Co., and have also interacted
with such corporations as Mastercard, Fleet Bank, and Nynex to name
just a few. |

I have never played
golf, but would like to learn. Do you have a Beginner's Program?
I would recommend an hour's Private or Semi Private (find a friend
who's eager to learn!) lesson with me to get you started. |
|
As a new golfer
about to take lessons for the first time should I buy clubs or borrow
some from a friend?
No to both options! It is far better to use a set of clubs supplied
by your instructor until you find the type of clubs that fit you.
Your friend's set might be fine but chances are you each possess physical
differences that make your club needs unique. It is especially important
to have a proper fitting done if you have a physical challenge, such
as arthritis, that can affect how you hold your club, or how you swing. |

The Jane Frost
Golf Schools seem a bit pricey. Can you explain why?
You will find many highly rated golf schools offering learning packages
at "reasonable" prices, but are you getting the person whose
name is on the school's sign? At the Jane Frost Golf Schools I will
personally instruct you - in a 4:1 student ratio - in whichever School
you attend. It is my responsibility - and my pleasure - to help you
to play your best game of golf through instruction that is based upon
your individual ability. |
|
How does one register
for a Jane Frost Golf School?
You can email me at jfrostgolfschool@aol.com.
There is a "user friendly" reservation form for you to fill
out, and your registration will be promptly confirmed. |
|
I'm planning a
vacation in conjunction with my scheduled Golf School. Can you suggest
a place to stay?
The Jane Frost Golf Schools recommend a select number of accommodations
on Cape Cod that are a short drive to Sandwich Hollows Golf Club and
near many of the Cape's tourist attractions. Please visit our Links
page for a complete listing. |
|
I have some physical
challenges and wonder if I can learn to play golf well enough to enjoy
it.
Clearance from your physician would be suggested. Many physical challenges
can be worked with - or around - by assessing the degree of severity,
then adjusting the various components of the golf swing, etc. to allow
for a comfortable experience. As a golf educator it is my passion
to bring enjoyment of the game to all, and if there is any way for
me to help you to play, no matter what your challenge, I will work
with you to discover it. Please visit our Golf School partner Cape
Cod Rehabilitation for fitness information. |
|
How important is
physical conditioning to the game of golf?
Very. Golfers - and participants in any sport - benefit from a good
conditioning regime. Flexibility through proper stretching prevents
injury to one's neck, shoulders, back and legs, and is complemented
by an appropriate form of weight training. The Jane Frost Golf Schools
has selected Cape Cod Rehabilitation as its official Physical Therapy
and Fitness Center. |
|
What is a good
age to introduce a child to golf?
Holly Ridge Golf Club offers three Junior Programs for children ages
6 to 9 and 10 to 14, incorporating the fundamentals of golf into a
unique and fun learning environment. |
|
I don't function
well in large groups. Do you have a class size limit?
Yes. All my classes have a limit of 4 students,
thus assuring proper individual attention. I also am happy to offer
Private and Semi Private Lessons. Details of all the Golf Schools
can be viewed on this website. |

Can you teach an "old dog" how
to play golf? Absolutely! The main requirement
for learning the game of golf, no matter what your age, is to approach
the lesson tee with enthusiasm and an eagerness to discover your "hidden
talents". We all have them, and they are as different from one
person to another as day is to night. So are the ways in which we
discover them. That's where I, as your golf educator, would work with
you to discover the fun of playing your best game of golf. |
